The 2nd Machine Learning for Edge-Cloud Systems (ML4ECS) Workshop was held on Monday, January 26, at the HiPEAC 2026 Conference in Kraków. ML4ECS was co-organized by the Horizon Europe projects CODECO, EDGELESS, and MLSysOps, and provided a compelling forum for discussing the future of autonomic management and intelligence across the IoT-Edge-Cloud continuum.
The event facilitated a rigorous exchange of ideas between academic researchers and industrial partners. We thank all speakers and attendees for their active participation and contributions to these technical discussions.
We want to thank our keynote speaker, Lorenzo Valerio (IIT-CNR), for his compelling keynote on "Decentralized Federated Learning Over Edge Networks," which offered interesting insights into the challenges of agentic AI and coordination-free learning.
